The E3 Expo is just around the corner, and with that comes tons of gaming news from all branches of the industry. Recently, Nintendo announced the official name of what gamers have come to know as the Nintendo Revolution - the Nintendo Wii. Interesting name indeed, but more important than a name is the games, and even more important — the gamers that will play them.
A while back I posted a poll to see what next generation console gamers intend to pick up; Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, or Nintendo Wii? Some players will opt to stick with PC games, some have already picked up the Xbox 360, and countless others will be grabbing the PS3, or multiple consoles. What will you do when all of the next generation consoles are on store shelves?

There is currently over 50,000 votes, with the Xbox 360 leading the pack, a statistic that is sure to change as Nintendo and Sony fans cast their votes. Alright, I will be kind enough to interperate the data from all of the consels, and add them up in 10 categories to determine the “best” or most preferable.
1st category: portability
PS3- Not quite portable, and pretty ugly too. (-1)
Xbox 360- Cool looking, but sort of clunky ( 0)
Wii- small ,sleek, and the controller comes in 5 colours ( 1)

PS3- not quite innnovative, no rumble, its getting old…

the 360 is good but the ps3 is better because with the ps3 you can play blu ray and it has better games such as MGS4 it has a lot better graphics then the 360.When you play maden you can see the guys 5 oclock shadow.Not many people know this but the ps3 also has a sensor on its wireless controller just like the Wii does when your playing Nba 08 turn your controller left your guy who your controlling spins left.all in all i say 1.ps3.2.Wii.and coming in last 360. I rest my case.

There is no way that HD is better than Blu-Ray. XBOX 360 is fine, but I dont feel I should have to pay for any online features cuz I can do that with just the internet alone. PS3 however, is free to play online so I rather go with that. Plus, you have more choices on PS3 than you do on 360. As far as the Wii goes, I’d prefer that a little more, only cuz its more family oriented and its the perfect console for my lil cuzins. So my rating on all 3:
Playstation 3: Yes
XBOX 360: Yes, but wont play online

You keep saying that ps3 online gaming is free, wanna know why? It blows. I would much rather pay for a good online experience than have a free terrible experience. Xbox live is way more reliable. And yeah ps3 has blue ray which is great but I use my xbox 360 way more for gaming than I would the ps3. I have all 3 systems and have gotten way way more use out of the xbox. Wii was fun for a bit but ultimatly gets old, ps3 has the blueray which I use occasionaly and good graphics games, but I never seemed to get into many of them because I mostly play all games online, much more fun that way imo. And xbox has xbox live, which is amazing.

PS3 has the best quality (meaning graphics), but not as many good games. Xbox 360 has lots of good games, and pretty good graphic quality, yet not as high def as PS3. Wii has the worst graphics of the three, but its not like its terrible or anything. And it definitely doesn’t have as many games as the other two, probably because it might be directed to more of the younger/family-friendly crowd just a little more. All I really care about is the certain games. I have a Wii, and am planning on buying an Xbox 360. All of those debating over how one dominates the other are just being biased losers, seriously. They all have their strengths and weaknesses.
Ok I’ma end this flame war now with a short review of each. I play all types of games (racing, puzzle, adventure, FPS, etc.) so I feel I can give a fair review of each.
PC: I’ve got a top of the line PC and it costed me a fortune ($3000+). This PC ahs everything including a blu-ray player and a dual-layer disk reader/writer and this is the best that money can buy(not saying this is the best console). The only thing is that its so hard to find a game to play online that people havent hacked! So I mostly use it for offline gaming and downloading cracked versions of games.
Wii: I saw the Wii in the commercial and I wanted it. I got it 2 years ago and i played it for 3 months and got bored of it(this is after I beat Zelda and mario wasnt out yet). I started playing again when Brawl came out. I think that the best part about this is that its fast. The games arent demanding on the console so it loads everything really fast. Its also extreamly quiet compaired to my PC(PC really loud due to fans). The only thing is that it says that there’s online games, but I’ve found 2 that actualy support it excluding having just leaderboards. The good games are also few and far between. Its great for the family though.
Xbox360: I’ve had this for years now and fortunatly for me it hasnt gotten the red ring. For everyone who doesnt know, the reason for the red ring is that there is a plastic connector connecting 2 major wires. Microsoft decided that it wasn’t a good idea to put a metal connector in instead of a low heat resistant plastic one. When the system overheats after you’ve been gaming for long hours, it melts a little. After that plastic connector melts off, the connection between the 2 wires desconnects and gives you the error. I caught this problem early and I made the proper adjustments. Anyways I’m getting off topic. The 360 may look good
but it doesn’t have proper ventalation. And ontop of that it’s bulky. It still has an external converter (that huge box that connects the xbox to the wall socket). And that external converter also needs more ventallation because if its on the floor it will overheat!!! the whole system need to be off the floor. But there are redeeming features about this. Its cheaper than a gaming PC and PS3 (not the Wii though). The only reason its cheaper is because everything is sold seperately. You have to spend another $160 to play online because you need to buy the wireless adapter and Xbox live. Fortunatly for Xbox, Xbox Live is extreamly user friendly. It allows you to join party’s and lets you talk to people playing other games. This brings me to the games. Xbox has a huge library of games including Halo, Gears of War and Forza. These arent all the exclusives, but if I listed them all off you would be reading for hours. This console is the loadest thing I own if you dont install the games, and you cant possibly install your entire library of games so you have to deal with that. The things this console didn’t include is a blu-ray player and probably the most important thing they shouldn’t have left out, a dual-layer disk reader. This thing does have one thing though, a disk tray. the Wii doesnt even have a disk tray COMMON!!!
PS3: I worked all summer to buy one of these things brand new. Costed me $900 with one game. I wish I had waited honestly until there was at least a system/game pack. I also got the HDMI cable (dont bother with S-video it costs more and does less) so I can play in 1080p. The games are great (now). With games like Metal Gear Solid, God of War, and Gran Turismo how can you go wrong. (again this isn’t all the exclusives it has). The online isn’t as good as the 360’s, having only the basics, but its free so what do you expect. This console (along with the Wii) can access Internet Explorer (xbox cant) so you can browse the web. The PS3 is very quiet, not as quiet as the Wii but still queit. It also has everthing built into the system, Blu-ray, dual-layer disk reader, power converter, and wireless internet adaptor. So if you want low maintanance this is perfect. The look is exactly what you expect of Sony, black and roundish. This is does overheat too but only when its hot outside and you’ve been playing long hours (xbox doesnt matter if its -20 celcius it still overheats).
So in my opinion, it all depends on the type of gamer you are. If your a social gamer, get a 360. If your a hardcore, non-social gamer, get a PS3. If you have a family, get a Wii. And if your a hacker, get a PC. Hope this ends this stupid flame war. Everyone’s opinion is different remember, and YOUR’S ISN’T ALWAYS THE RIGHT ANSWER! DONT JUDGE UNLESS YOU’VE BEEN ON BOTH SIDES!!! (or in this case own and play both consoles)
lol this article is certainly written by a xbox/wii fanboy. Points for DELAY IN EUROPE? That are one of the FEW things xbox is “better” in. Also, you shouldn’t give points for how the xbox and ps3 looks, that’s completely subjective. And you did NOT say that using PSN is completely free unlike xbox live. And nowadays they cost only slightly more than xbox 360. You said the ps3 got 10 times more power than the Wii, and the xbox 360 only 6 times. Then why did you give both PS3 and xbox one point? You gave a Wii a point for being easy to use. Well I really used to struggle with the beginning screen and remote. Xbox’ and ps3’s are easier to use. And are you saying ps3 is NOT PORTABLE? You couldn’t be more wrong, they weigh only 6 pounds. And the ps3 HAS got internet, while the xbox doesnt. I can mention 20 things which aren’t right
Xbox sucks its internet has to be paid, so if u have netflix (which is the 5th most cool thing about new consoles) you have to pay x2, the only games that are only for Xbox are the halo series which can be easily beaten by call of duty, they stole the idea of wii’s idea with kinect and worst of all it over heats and shuts down every 2 hours !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wii is not as gud as PS3 but it beats Xbox by a long shot the only thing that Wii needs to beat PS3 is more entretaining games (now that the red wii has blue-ray).
At last PS3 beats every thing because; it has blue ray, has free internet, has the best games, dosen’t overheat, high graphics and best of all PS2 was THE most bought console for 8 awesome years.
