Halo 3 to feature 4 player co-op - Finally
Alright, all I can really say to this one is — thank you! I don't know if I should thank Microsoft, Bungie, or perhaps we should thank the rest of the successful co-op based on-line video games for making the developers finally take on-line co-op serious. It is no secret that I am a huge fan of cooperative on-line game play, and I've been one of the biggest complainers to companies for not making it happen. See my rant about Halo 3 co-op from last October. When I talked to Bungie's Frankie and Harold Ryan at the Halo 3 Beta event in NYC they wouldn't give me a firm yes or no when asked about co-op — I guess they're confident in the result now though! As announced in Bungie's press release, Halo 3 will feature four player co-op game play. One of the players will control the Master Chief, one will control the Arbiter, and the other two will control 2 new Elites. So now all we have to do is eagerly await the Halo 3 release date (September 25th) to see if these Halo 3 achievements hold water, or if we need to add a few more to the list.
