Michael from Dallas wrote in with an easy way to get achievements and ring builder points on the Xbox 360 version of Madden NFL 08 — this was just before the Cowboys got knocked out of the Superbowl race by the Giants. Sorry the game last week didn't turn out better for Dallas fans, but Michael's hint is now up on the Madden NFL 08 cheats page, so take a look if you still haven't unlocked too many of the game's achievements.
As usual I'll be simulating the Superbowl this year, as soon as we know for sure what teams will be playing, so be sure to look for that as February 3rd approaches. I don’t understand why people get into cheats for sports games like Madden. With few exceptions, I can’t really see too much benefit to cheating your way through a competitive sports game. What is the fun in that?
The cheat for Madden here really isn’t to cheat the game play, but more to cheat the mechanics of the achievement system. Some people are obsessed with achievements, these tips help them get the most out of the game as quick as possible. But I do appreciate your comment and point of view.
