Fable 2 Cheats and Secrets - Xbox 360

Wednesday October 29, 2008

At this point Fable 2 has been in some gamer's hands for about a week — so what's the verdict? Well, I haven't played it just yet but judging from Eric Qualls review it's hit or miss. So you'll either love it or hate it, or possibly both. Feel free to read the entire Fable 2 review and grab a couple of Fable 2 experience secrets at the links below. If you have additional hints or tips send them in and I'll add them to the cheats page.

i have had the game for about 3days an have completed this (sad as it is) this game is awesome to play some clitches in the game that help you if you looking to be the best. you can earn loads of money and gain loads of experiance doing these :- when there is a weapons sale on buy them cheap then go to fairfax gardens and sell them to the weapons merchant who will buy them almost 3 times what you played. that and also buying propertys and saving then go to dashboard on xbox change the date to 2025 and load up game will have loads of cash then, for experience when you have some if you connect a second controller and player with second controller take all your abilities off this will then hand them over to your character,do this a few times till you have all spell and will.
overall this game is great for game play only downside is the final fighting scene, after gaining all that experience i was looking forward to using it in final fight scene this was very short. i rate this still at 10/10 great game

(2) Dave says:

For cash I just got 5 start on wood chopping in Oakvale. took about 45 mins. I had about 42,000.
bought up several 5-7k houses and rented them out. At that point, Money will never be a problem as you’ll be getting income every 5 minutes. Every time you receive enough cash, buy another house. I had 1 million+ half way into a 3 day game. :D

Now why were 10 bandits guarding a chest of Java. :S
These were the lamest treasures in any game. I loved Fable I but I’d only give Fable II 5/10.
Anything behind a Demon Door should be better than something you can buy but not in this poorly configured game. I feel raped of my cash.

(3) Fable_was_a_let_down says:

I agree, the treasures in this game were awful.
I really HATE Lion Head after this pathetic release. They made it out to be something so much more than it is.
The dog is completely useless.
The treasures make no since.
The Weapons bought vs found are all wrong.
THIS IS NOT A LEGIT RPG.

According to your interviews, you wanted us to fall in love with the Dog. Well, I only hate Lionhead and could care less about the dog or your lies.

(4) seth says:

ok getting $$$$ n exp is really easy when ur a kid just give the warrants 2 the guard the when u grow up n go back 2 old town u get 50% all stores/stalls so u need some $$$ but just enough to get a weapon at the wep stall then sell it in fairfax do this til u can buy house with the toughness upgrade then sleep when u wake up u can sell it 4 exp but it wont go away so u can get like 100k exp in like 2 min.
u can repeat these as much as u want 4 gold n exp (i maxed out my strength skill n will on 3rd quest with $100,000)

(5) Fable_Was_Not_A_Let_Down says:

what is your deal the gameplay was great
and how could you not love the dog he is hilarious and he gave his freaking life for you i’ll admit the legendary weapons were a bit underpowered but come on if you want cold hard numbers go play a pen and paper rpg
i prefer the art style and the humor of this game over alot of the new releases this year

(6) ryanz says:

This game was really innovative. The story does have some odd parts, but the gameplay and graphic art are both, at least as far as I have seen, unmatched by amost any games ive played on the 360 console. Lots of fun!

(7) HL says:

i love fable but i cant help but feel cheated by lionhead promising more then it delivered. they put in just enought to make it acceptable like the original fable and it gave me the feeling that there needed to be more. more area’s, more quests, more story, more items, more enemies, your dog is well done, but even it doesnt do more then it has to, the only reson i kno its there is because it shows random dig spots and sometime it will kill someone you already beat down. while im playing im happy with it but at the end of the day it always leaves me feeling empty on the inside and so my love hate relationship with fable continues…

(9) forrest says:

For the guy who made the no. 3 comment, you are an idiot. Not a legit RPG? Bull. The dog useless? Again, bull. I agree the treasures could be a lot better, but if you know where to look, you’d be able to find some pretty sick weapons (i.e. The Daichi)I’m disgusted that all you can see are the negatives. If thats all you look for in a game, then you should return any console or game you might have.

(11) coward says:

the game was a let down. No final fight. Nothing to do at the end. horrible treasures and pretty much anything you dig up with the dog’s help is worthless. Also the game is glitchy. On another note, the parts you want to go fast (childhood) take forever while the parts you want to spend time on (final fight, part with all 3 heroes together) go very quickly.

I loved the game, just would have loved if they would have spent their time on more than sweet looking graphics…

(12) Cracker-Jack Joe says:

For exp sleep in one of the many houses that temporarily boost your abilities (like the monster manor in bowerstone market) then go to your abilities and sell off the newly earned ability. You’ll get the exp but the ability wont go away. Repeat until you have however much you want. Higher levels of ability give you more exp back when you sell them, so build up on that one first then build others.
For money, save up enough to buy a house or (preferably) a buisiness (cause they make you more). Now you can just keep buying more and more real estate as you make money, and it keeps getting more and more faster and faster. For an easy cheat (that works pretty dang good) configure your xbox settings to the year 2025. this will give you 100 times the regular income you get. You can keep changing the time back and forth from 2005 to 2025, but you have to save the game each time you change it. Takes time but works great.
Now, the game is pretty short and I believe that these methods kinda take away from what you actually have to work for in the game, thus taking away from the game, but they’re still pretty cool and fun.
And the weapons and treasures were pretty lame at times, and of course there were a lot of bugs and glitches, but all in all its pretty dang cool. Amazing graphics, awesome interaction. The dog, though of little use, still HAD use and added to the interaction and cooperation of the game. Indeed the game was pretty short and the ending was quick, but if you look at the effort put into the game its obvious that we either had to wait a lot longer for the game to be released or some cuts had to happen. If you hate the game so much, just stop playing it. And if your not gonna make an even better game (good luck) then stop complaining.

(13) Marko says:

To be honest Fable 1 was one of my favorite game of all time and after finishing fable 2 i find the first was way better.Fisrt of all i really hate how to create the spell config cause in the first you press one button see all spell and then you press a,b,or x yto use it.Its not that in this one its complicated its just not good. Second i hate the treasure and legendery weapon cause their are pretty much all bad. Third the dog is not that bad cause he tell you where the dig spot and treasure are when sometime you cant see them so the dog wasnt so bad. Fourth the thing i hate most is that there or not really bosses like in the first yeah there like one or 2 but thats it. And the ending was so stupid but it did make me laught cause the boss is talking and boom get shot fall in the cave and the guy”He woulnt stop talking ” lol worst ending of all game but was funny. They should of taking more time to finish this game but anyway the gaming industire always try to finish a game as fast as they can they should take more time. My opinion is this game wasnt at all what we were all expected but thats just opinion

(14) Robynne says:

I’m curious to know if anyone else has come across a glitchy guard in Oakfield.
Whenever I go to oakfield a guard in a white coat chases after me and tries to kill me. Even with the safety off, it won’t let me hit him. I havn’t done anything wrong, and it won’t let me pay a fine, or community service or resist arrest.
On a brighter note, I LOVE this game. It’s fun, the monsters are alot easier (Which some of you may say is a bad point, but I’m CRAP at fighting!), the graphics are beautiful, you can have kids(WOO! lol), the gifts you can give are much better, there’s a MUCH larger range of houses, and though it’s pretty glitchy, te story line is good and fun. I really enjoy playing this game. I’ve almost finished the main story line and have found endless enjoyment playing it. 9.9/10 (the glitches let it down the tiniest bit! XD).

(15) Skyxx says:

the game was good and the battle system is one of my favorite with the melee and magic combinations but i agree that they could of done better with the weapons. In fable one you could get those legendary swords that actually were good while in fable 2 the best weapon I have is the one i bought and augmented myself. But overall a good game. And the fact there was no armor kind of pissed me of.

(17) Ninja-Dude says:

I have finished the game 3 times and I’ve noticed that each time i can’t make the world the same as the last game. Oh and I have fable I, and fable the lost Chapters, (finished those like 10 times each. Gargoyles are annoying, I like to shoot them if I can find them. And to get lots of exp, get some good spells, start a co-op game with you as the the other person, press start and then delete the abilities of the character (oh and don’t have the henchmen as someone elses game, just press start to get into it press A twice) all the exp goes to you’re hero :) I got to 4 million exp and got all the spells and now I have a lot of exp left, lol. And that cheat that sleep in a house and delete abilities you get from it to get exp takes longer than doing this. Me rating the game (better than fable I) probably 8.5/10

I dont think Fable II was a let down, the glitchyness is just due to the vast scale of loading that has to be done. i agree the dog is pointless and is annoying when it gets hurt because i never heal it haha. making money is too easy. some of the missions are pointless but overall, find me a better game for the 360?
8/10 score from me

(31) Potatoguru says:

If anyone wants a way to make money what you can do is earn enough gold to buy brightwood tower via buildings shops income etc..

then when you sleep in the top of brightwood tower and complete chestys quest (after game end) you get the diamond of sorrow worth 100,000 gold dont sell this immedietly.

instead go to westcliff find the gifts stall and make the seller there not hate you or love you and try to make it so he dousnt fear you either so that all are at 0% the shop wealth should rise the prices by atleast 30% then sell the diamond of sorrow to him and all the other gifts you may have.

then you buy the stall for 5000 odd gold

you can now rebuy all the gifts you sold to him for up to 50% cheaper just keep on repeating this and you will make 1,000,000 gold easily it dousnt drive the price of the stall down or up either so every time you resell it you make atleast 40000 gold profit i sat down and done this for only 10 minutes and earned myself atleast 2,000,000 gold you can also buy diamonds and other rare gifts to sell on aswell each diamond makes 3k profit everytime you resell it to him and buy it back again.

^.^ glad to help. by the way the better the towns economy the more profit you will make so dont go on killing sprees 0_o (even though i know some people like to).

heres some extra things =D

the last gargoyle you will most likely find is in castle fairfax inside the library on the wall were the entrance is quite high up.

the enforcer (177 damage) a blunderbuss is in giles farm cellar you will have to dig at the gravestones next to his house to obtain the key.

DO NOT take the sex changing potion.

dont be stupid and try hitting a troll with your katana or whatever you may have.

when you get all the gargoyles (SPOILER)
the ultimate treasure is nothing but a rotten apple. BUT if you attack the wall behind the chest it reveals a secret passage way wich leads to a chest with the Rammer in it a light crossbow with 116 damage it also has 3 really cool augments on it ;].

also Fable II rocks =D

(33) Mazsic says:

Hmm. ill tell you right now. Fable Lost chapters was probbaly my favorite game along side Zelda Ocorina of time. I love the Exploring concept with magic and huge monsters etc.

Anyway All up, i think fable 2 is a realy good game… i’d give it a 8/10, it just has the potential to be so much better though.

I think bringing the story 500 years into the future away from the era of hero’s was a risky move and in my oppinion probably wasnt to smart. and when i heard that lionhead were introducing guns i thought that fable would be crap. however they ahve introduced guns well and it hasnt spoilt the game.

I think that the monsters in the game have been done poorly. their is very little veriety and i done think there is a single new monster in the game from fable 1.and their are definatly a shortage in extremly big monsters such as the hydra and the dragon. i mean common a troll? there were 3 differnt kinds in the last one. And the floating triangle things which shoot electricity… wtf?

anyway i tihnk the story line could have used some work, this is where taking it away from the era of hero’s wasnt such a good idea. personaly i think the ending was crap. no explosions and ahving to choose random cunts over alex and my daughter… i almost cried lol for those who ahvent played it.. you wont get it lol.
i could probably sit here all night a bitch about it but im not going to. as you can see from mine and others comments. This game is pretty awsome.. but there could have been so much more you could ahve done with it.

just incase anyone from lionhead is reading this… next fable dont make 2 genders, this would alow for a much longer story line.
infact just stick with the girl. she was way funner to play with lol.

(38) Eldars says:

I know it is late, and most people will already have made their choices on this game but lets get one thing str8… this is not an RPG. I am not some 15 yr old punk, I am old enough to be some of you kids’ dad, but I AM A GAMER! I have been playing since atari, the sega master system, nintendo, and have owned nearly every system including the Dreamcast, and many man others. I have played good, great, and bad games. This game should be judged in several areas…
1) Graphics- they are fantastic, but a big letdown is not being able to go anywhere, do anything. Take a game like Elder Scrolls: Oblivion for instance. Take a look at a bridge, or mountain, or kingdom in the distance. Then go there. You can take any number of paths or just cross the country side. Fable 2 is linear and severely limits exploration. So the graphics are really only pictures if you cant touch em.
2) Gameplay- this game has very average gameplay. Look at a game like Zelda, Ocarina of time. The delay between button pushes is so fine that you can actually chain magic and melee attacks together. Nearly Flawless. The best game to actually employ this kind of gameplay was Kings Field. This game was before most of your time, but was perhaps the first to allow you to attack melee, follow with a fireball, and change back to sword without blinking. Fable does not accommodate this kind of play, as it has a delay between weapon and magic changes.
3) Difficulty/ Fun Factor- This game has no difficulty settings, and is extremely easy to beat. There are very few spell options, in fact so few that they should have assigned a single button to each one. Baldurs gate, for instance, allows you to build your character in a manner that each one is different. My brother was an magic user/ archer, and I was a sorcerer. We were both very powerful by the end of the game, yet we only had 1 or 2 overlapping spells. A Fable player will probably be full on every single spell when they finish the game. Way too easy. Fun factor however is this games strongest point. Things like a lovable (if less than vicious) dog, smack talking gargoyles, and inventive ideas make this game very original and fun.

Overall this is a very incomplete, visually stunning fun, easy game to play. 7.5/10
But if it had an Ages 12+ warning it would be a 10/10. LMAO
Bottom line= Rent it!

P.S.- if you are reading this, “ROFL”, try working on your spelling before commenting on other peoples grammar! lol definately? try definitely

(39) Beth says:

Fable 2 is pretty good, but it makes me miss the immersion you get from Oblivion. If they could incorporate parts of Oblivion into Fable (being able to manipulate / steal any object you want, being able to play from a first person point of view, and walk where ever the f*ck you want instead of having to stay on a trail) then the game would be AWESOME. Oblivion misses the human element, the closest thing you get to a family is the Dark Brotherhood, so you end up feeling lonely as you explore the vast regions and dungeons. There was a lot left it could have had but to me it comes across as a light, less serious play on Oblivion.

(42) enzo says:

this game is great but the weapons suck bad. The buy weapons money trick is the best money making way to get rich fast. When you buy weapons, buy them at B-Old Town. Make the merchant love you (19% max) and fear you (scary laugh works the best). With the discount, thats 88%! but keep in mind the economy. Sell all you goods at pubs or Fairfax Gardens. They have the biggest mark ups. I made the mistake of killing everyone in the world wich make the ecomony crappy and stayed below 3 stars for the entire game. if you keep doing this trick while the you play the main quest, you can make all the money you will ever need. Fairfax castle will be like chump change.

(43) Ghost says:

hmmm fable2 i cant say it was better or worse than the original yes the first was better in terms of control and legendary weapon etc but it seems to me that fable2 made up for these with all the tiny details like dyeable clothing and hair. also i think that the concept of corruption and purity is also kind of neat. these aspect gave you alot more freedom for costomisation. however they did stuff that up by not includeing enough clothing sets in my opinion all in all id give fable 2 about 6/10

February 7, 2009 at 12:14 pm
(44) Vorrec says:

Hey #29, I’m 15, and I can appreciate things. Lol. Fable II is a great game when you don’t compare it with the prequel. When you expect things, it brings the enjoyment factor down. Will go general here, don’t want haters up my ass. Anyway, Lionhead spent way too much time on graphics (not that it ain’t good) when more attention could have been paid to the more important part: gameplay. When you see a great RPG crappy graphics really doesn’t ruin it. Fable II was lacking big in item variety, and in terms of business, the MC armour (don’t get me wrong, big fan of Halo here) was not that great a move. It was entertaining but pulled players out of the Fable world to great lengths. Loved the dog though, it was glitchy but awesome. Fable is amazing because it draws ordinary life into gameplay so much, but otherwise, Lionhead put too much detail in the smaller factors of a great game. It weighs down on the fact that Fable II really doesn’t have enough of a questline. Okay, I could deal with the lacking aspects of legendary weapons and demon doors, but the quests were just a bit disappointing. All in all, still a game to be remembered and worshipped. A must-buy for X-Box owners that don’t mindlessly stick to the shooter genre. Haters, go kill yourselves. 7.5/10.

P.S: If you liked fable, try Oblivion. Same style, more gameplay, less sex, less glitches, completely ditching the linear gamestyle. 9.5/10, but that’s just me.

The game Fable 2 is great but the treasures were bad and the fact that u waste all your time getting the gargoyles and key but when u get them The Daichi and The Enforcer or the Red Dragon are better any way. I still give it a 10/10. And i still cant believe Reaver killed Oakvale.

(51) Chelsea says:

I liked the game. The dog, family, religion thing was a great addiotion the the ‘reality’ theme of it. The monsters where easy – but to me thats a good thing because Ive finished this game. Fable and TLC were too hard. In the last game on a main quset i was screming at the telly screen ready to throw the controller at the tv (never finished it). The graphics are great not to real but not to cartoony. Trolls are harder in this game and im thankfull for it! They were too easy in the last game. In thee next game (if they make one) htere should be a pick on compainoins example: A parrot, a horse, a tamed hobbe (awesome!) or a wolf pup?

Thats my opinion! BTW, dont complain about my spelling please. Im only 12… :(

Before you read: I have no intention of bashing the game or recommending it to anyone. I just like killing stuff.

@60 Scott
You sir, have hit the nail on the head. The problem is that just about anyone whose ever played fable II, either purist or cheater, has most likely figured out most if not all of the game’s secrets by now.
So how about strategy? Here’s a couple of permutations I found useful with augments. Always, ALWAYS, make sure you have two augment slots to work with. It isn’t necessary for normal gameplay, however, for most of the following combos, it is.

NOTE!:All of these recipes are operating under the assumption that you have the MASTER CLASS weapon of that type. Master Class is only available after you reach the Crucible.

1) Hollow Killer
Augments: Lucky Charm, Flame.
Weapons: Mace, Axe, Clever.
This weapon will smash through most undead ghoulies in short order and other monsters of the decaying type. Elder Hollows may take two hits…most times they just get blown to pieces.

2) Blade of the Immortal
Augments: Ghoul, Cursed Warrior / Discipline.
Weapons: Light-Katana, Cutlass.
It’s double-trouble with a capitol “T”. The ghoul augment constantly restores damage as you hit and either the Cursed Warrior or the Discipline doubles the experience earned. In combination with the chain attack skill this is guaranteed to boost your skill and strength to the max…Plus you’ll never need another healing potion if you’re lucky.

3) Blitzkrieg
Augments: Lucky Charm, Kilowatt.
Weapons: axe, Axe, AXE!
Whether it’s bandits, banshees, or white balverines, the Blitzkrieg is a killing machine. Use it with the flourish skill to kill, Kill, KILL!

4) GHP-Sniper
Augments: Golden Touch, Ghoul.
Weapons: Master Flintlock Rifle.
Low on health? Gold? Both? Then this weapon is for YOU! For the Purist that can’t say no to picking off their enemies and getting paid to do it. For every head you b-off you will be granted gold, not a lot of gold, but it adds up…does it EVER add up. The Master Flintlock Rifle had the longest range in the game so, happy sniping! Use it with sub-targeting for that extra special head-rolling, decapitating action!

5) Boomstick
Augments: Flame, Kilowatt.
Weapons: Blunderbuss, Turret Rifle (I prefer the blunderbuss).
“This here, is my Boomstick!”
‘Nuff said.
(For those of you who don’t get the Army of Darkness reference, it means a very loud gun that PWNS.)

6) (UNTESTED) Valhallan
Augments: Devastation (only one in game, silver key chest in Wraithmarsh which you’ll have to find yourself) And Lucky Charm.
Weapons: Master Hammer
I have yet to get this weapon together unfortunately, however it should in theory be the best melee weapon in the game. The Devastation augment is the same one attached to the Dragonstomper gun enabling much faster handling of the weapon in question. We’re talking about 107 points of damage alone not counting what your physique adds, plus the buff from the Lucky Charm augment. So all in all, what it adds up to is a giant mallet swinging at the pace of a katana.
…Sounds like smashed skulls to me.

This concludes what I can think of at the moment. If you’d like to contact me my email is Spheria@hotmail.com

Very good game, yes could of been better but still a decent game, i find i enjoy it most when im not looking for a “hardcore session” on the 360 and just a bit of chill time.

AND why do people think every new game has to out do previous games just to be a good game, i mean just look at titles such as Sonic, Mario and Pac-Man, they have been around for x amount of years and still get played around the world every day!

ANYWAY all in all a QUALITY game. (Only my opinion)
