When I first heard that Phantasy Star Portable was coming to the Sony PSP hand held video game system I had mixed feelings. Could SEGA actually make a version of the game that kept true to the series, and was fun to play on a mobile gaming system? Well, the short answer — they did it.
Phantasy Star Portable for the PSP stays true to the series, and is quite an enjoyable experience on the PSP, especially if you have played the rest of the Phantasy Star video games. There are a lot of similarities between this mobile version of the game, as well as some nice tweaks to make gameplay on a smaller screen as easy as possible while still keeping the depth gamers have come to expect. I haven't played Phantasy Star Zero (released only in Japan for the DS), so I cannot compare it to that mobile version.
When it comes to cheating on Phantasy Star Portable you'll need to have custom firmware and cwcheat installed on your PSP, the codes are listed on page 3 of the Phantasy Star Portable cheats page. If you have custom firmware on your PSP then grab the codes, or take a look at the rest of the cheat pages to see the unlockables and rewards within the game.
