Download Three Free Tracks for Rocksmith for PSN or XBL

Follow me on:

The groovy dudes over at Rocksmith are giving away three free tracks for owners of Rocksmith on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. They're also promising new download content every two weeks. According to guitar and gaming enthusiast Catarina, a frequent visitor here at vgstrategies.about.com, fans have been uploading their very own videos of the game for a chance to be in the next Rocksmith ad campaign. I've previously written about Rocksmith and its benefit to gamers looking to learn how to play real guitar here.

It’s Saturday 1/14/2012, and there is no free content to download as far as I can see. (Ubisoft DLC page, Rocksmith forum..)

Is there a specific link you can provide if this is in fact available somewhere?

Thanks

Hey Markie,

The easiest way to locate the free content, at least on Xbox 360, is to go to the XBL marketplace, all games, R, Rocksmith, and then simply click download on the free items. FYI the free Megadeth content is last on the list, not the Megadeth that costs about 640.

Hope that helps.

Jason.

Actually, I think you’re looking at videos, not song content. The naming is misleading, but if you see a filmstrip behind the controller it’s video content.

I made the same mistake when I first got the game and looked for DLC.

I don’t see anything other than the already announced free holiday DLC. There are other songs and packs, but they’re all paid.
