GamePlay: Before using QB Vision in a game setting, play through the Vision and Precision Tutorial located in the Madden Tutorials.

GAMEPLAY CONTROLS - ALL PHASES
Left Thumbstick Move Player
Y Button Cancel Audible (Before Selecting Play)
Left Trigger Coach's Cam (Unavailable Online)
Right Trigger Play Art
Back Call Timeout
Combo #1 X, Then X, A, B, L Trigger, or R Trigger = Call Audible Before Snap
Combo #2 X, Then Black Button = Flip Play at the Line
Combo #3 X, Then White Button = Reset Original Play After Calling Audible

Offense Controls for Madden NFL 06

OFFENSE CONTROLS - BEFORE THE SNAP
Left Thumbstick UP/DOWN to highlight eligible player then Left Thumbstick LEFT/RIGHT to send that player in motion. Click in = Quiet Crowd.
Right Thumbstick LEFT/RIGHT = Switch the direction of a running play. LEFT/RIGHT or UP/DOWN = Hot Route primary receiver.
A Button Snap Ball
B Button Fake Snap
Y Button Cancel an audible call (before selecting an audible). Hot Route to a different receiver: Y then the button corresponding to the receiver, then press: Left Thumbstick UP = for a fly pattern, DOWN = for a curl pattern, LEFT/RIGHT = for an in/out pattern, L Trigger or R Trigger = for a left/right slant pattern, or Right Thumbstick DOWN for a Smart Route.
White Button Slide offensive line protection: White button then D-Pad UP = spread line, DOWN = pinch line, LEFT/RIGHT = shift blocking left/right.
Black Button Black Button then D-Pad any direction = Formation shift

OFFENSE CONTROLS - RUSHING
Right Thumbstick Up = Big Offensive Hit. Down = Back Juke.
A Button Sprint
B Button Spin
X Button Slide (Tap). QB Dive (Hold).
Y Button Cover Up/Protect Ball
White Button Stiff Arm Left
Black Button Stiff Arm Right
Left Trigger Juke Left
Right Trigger Juke Right

OFFENSE CONTROLS - PASSING/RECEIVING
Directional Pad Control Precision Passing Ball Placement
Left Thumbstick Control Precision Passing Ball Placement
Right Thumbstick QB Vision Control. Direct the nearest receiver = Click + Right Thumbstick any direction.
A Button Sprint.
B Button Control intended receiver while ball is airborne. Pass to the receiver with corresponding icon. Pull and release quickly to lob pass; pull and hold for a bullet pass.
X Button Dive for pass. Pass to the receiver with corresponding icon. Pull and release quickly to lob pass; pull and hold for a bullet pass.
Y Button Catch. Pass to the receiver with corresponding icon. Pull and release quickly to lob pass; pull and hold for a bullet pass.
White Button Pass to the receiver with corresponding icon. Tap for lob pass; Hold for a bullet pass.
Black Button Pass to the receiver with corresponding icon. Tap for lob pass; Hold for a bullet pass.
Left Trigger Swat/strafe Left. Throw ball away (tap). QB scramble behind the line = Hold L-Trigger + A, X, B, R-Trigger, White or Black Button.
Right Trigger Swat/strafe Right. Pump fake (tap when passing icons are up). Lock on to receiver: Hold R-Trigger + corresponding receiver button.

OFFENSE CONTROLS - BLOCKING
A Button Sprint. Power Block.
B Button Switch to Closest Blocker
X Button Cut Block
Y Button Jump. Change blocking assignment before the snap: Y then press the button corresponding to the running back or tight end whose passing/blocking route you want to change. Press the White Button to change to a blocking assignment to the left. Press the Black Button to change it to the right.

OFFENSE CONTROLS - AFTER THE PLAY
B Button (Hold) Spike ball to stop the clock
X Button (Hold) Fake spike ball trick play
Y Button No huddle/Hurry-up offense, (Hold) to repeat previous play
Left Trigger L-Trigger + R-Trigger = Instant replay before playcalling screen appears
Right Trigger L-Trigger + R-Trigger = Instant replay before playcalling screen appears
