DEFENSE CONTROLS - BEFORE THE SNAP
Left Thumbstick Click in to pump up crowd
Right Thumbstick Click in to view individual assignments
A Button Choose a player to control (tap to cycle one by one). Switch to closest defender (Hold A + D-pad to choose player).
B Button Choose a player to control (tap to cycle one by one). Switch to closest defender (Hold B + D-pad to choose player).
Y Button Coverage audibles: Y then D-Pad UP/DOWN = Bump and run/loose coverage. RIGHT = Shift safeties and linebackers. Y then R-Trigger = Make defenders go to default positions. Y then L-Trigger = Reset Coverage.
White Button Defensive Line Shifts: White Button then D-Pad UP = To spread the defensive ends outside the tackles. DOWN = To move the line in tight between the tackles. LEFT = To shift the line left. RIGHT = To shift the line right. White Button then L-Trigger = Reset defensive line shift.
Black Button Linebacker Shifts: Black Button then D-Pad UP = To spread the linebackers out. DOWN = To move linebackers in tight. LEFT = To shift the linebackers left. RIGHT = To shift the linebackers right. Black Button then L-Trigger = Reset linebacker shift.
DEFENSE CONTROLS - DEFENSIVE ADJUSTMENTS
Y Button Secondary adjustments: Y then Right Thumbstick any direction = Shift safeties' zone coverage any direction. Change individual matchups: Y then corresponding button of offensive player you want to match up against , then press D-Pad DOWN = To bump the receiver, UP = To play off the receiver and RIGHT = To double team the receiver with the highlighted defender.
White Button Defensive line adjustment: White Button then Right Thumbstick DOWN = To make line crash in, UP = To make line rush to the outside, LEFT = To make line crash left, RIGHT = To make line crash right.
Black Button Linebacker adjustments: Black Button then Right Thumbstick DOWN = To blitz all linebackers, UP = To call off all linebacker blitzes (any LB that had a blitz assignment now goes into hook zone), LEFT = To blitz to right outside linebacker, RIGHT = To blitz the left outside linebacker.
DEFENSE CONTROLS - DEFENSIVE PLAYMAKER
Right Thumbstick For Defensive Playmaker, highlight player, then press Right Thumbstick UP = Linebacker hook zone/Defensive back deep zone. DOWN = Blitz. DOWN twice = QB Contain Blitz. LEFT = Go into QB spy coverage. RIGHT = Play a flat zone. RIGHT twice = Play a curl zone.

Right Thumbstick Unleash the Hit Stick
A Button Sprint. Shove Blocker.
B Button Control player nearest to the ball
X Button Dive
Y Button Jump. Intercept. Hands up (when rushing the QB).
White Button Strip Ball (when not engaged)
Black Button Strip Ball (when not engaged)
Left Trigger Rip/Swim/Spin (when engaged). Rip/Swat/Swim (when engaged).
Right Trigger Rip/Swim/Spin (when engaged). Strafe (when not engaged).
KICKING CONTROLS
Left Thumbstick Change Kick Direction/Elevation
A Button Start Kick Meter/Stop Kick Meter upswing/Stop Kick Meter downswing.
B Button Switch Players
Y Button Fair Catch
Combo #1 For a touchback, remain in the endzone after catching the ball.
