Crackdown Cheats - Increasing Your Agility in Crackdown on the Xbox 360

Hints and tips to help you increase your agility rating in Crackdown.

Crackdown Agility Skill

One of the coolest features in Crackdown is the ability to increase the skill levels of your Agent, in particular, the Agility skill is responsible for how quickly you move and run, and how far you can jump. Exploring the world of Crackdown becomes a whole lot easier as your agility increases, and since you can increase agility by finding the agility orbs, and secret orbs (which will increase agility as well as the other skills) it becomes one of the simplest skills to level up, especially early on in the game.

I recommend that when you begin the game you immediately start looking for agility orbs. It should be quite easy to find a few dozen that are within reach at level 1 agility in Los Muertos alone. Also keep a keen ear for the sounds of the secret orbs, you'll hear them when you are close enough to one. Some of them are really obvious, others are hidden quite well.

Using Orbs to Increase Your Agility

This is by far the easiest way to increase your agility. Those green orbs that are scattered about the city give you more agility, the more icons that are above it, the more agility you will gain from locating and picking up the orb. The best spot to look for agility orbs are on the rooftops, on rocky cliffs, and on top of other high structures.

The green agility orbs are almost always in plain sight, if you are high enough to see them, so don't worry about checking inside of buildings and under bridges for them. While you can find some of the blue secret orbs there, my main point of saying this is so that if you have only a few agility orbs (out of the 500) to find, you don't pull your hair out scouring inside of building for them, you won't find them there. There is more information on finding agility and secret orbs here.

Using Firearms at High Elevations to Increase Agility

When you kill an enemy from a high elevation, in addition to the normal firearms or explosives experience you will gain, you will also get a boost to your agility. Try to get into the habit of sniping enemies below from high rooftops and cliffs. The agility bonus isn't enough to be worth doing this alone, but if you make it a normal habit while playing, it will pay dividends in the end.

Use a sniper rifle or the Firefly rocket launcher so you can take out more enemies more efficiently. I don't recommend hanging on to the sniper rifle for long however, because it isn't all that useful in the game, aside from the previously mentioned benefit.

Go about looking for agility orbs in the right manner. The orbs in Shai-Gen require an agility 3 or 4 in order to be able to reach them, so check Los Muertos, then Volk, then Shai-Gen in that order throughout the game to maximize the ease of locating them. And be sure to go back to areas you have already been to once your agility increases, you never know what you missed simply because you could not see it previously.

Completing Rooftop Races to Increase Agility

I actually found these rooftop races to be quite frustrating, especially when my agility was not very high. I don't recommend doing them until you have a high agility rating to begin with, but if you can't seem to find any more orbs, go for it. They're not so bad once you reach level 4, but you still need to peek at the map as you are moving along to see where the next marker is, since the directional on the markers themselves can sometimes do more harm to your path than good.
