It's possible to lower the in-game prices of cars and tracks by editing specific game files. Each car has its own folder and an associated cars.ini file. To change the cost of any car to $10:

1. Locate the cars.ini file for the car of your choice on your computer.

2. Open the cars.ini file with a text editor, like Notepad.

3. Set the numerical value for price= and nfsprice= to 10.

4. Save the file, and exit.

Use this same trick to lower the costs of race tracks by editing the Tracks.ini file in the Tracks sub-directory and setting all instances of m_price[0]= to 10.

How to Get Faster Cars

Use a text editor to edit the cars.ini files in the game directory. Change the mass= value to 100 for faster cars.

It's also possible to transfer the speed and handling characteristics of one vehicle to another. For example:

1. Open the folder of a powerful car such as the F50.

2. Copy the car.ini file.

3. Open the folder of a slower car such as the Elise.

4. Paste the car.ini for the better car into the folder, and choose to overwrite the original car.ini file.

The next time you start the game, the Elise should handle just like the F50.
