Basic Information
Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl are available for the Nintendo DS handheld video game system. Pocket Monsters Diamond is the name of the game in Japan. Pokemon Diamond / Pearl contains new Pokemon and well as old Pokemon.
In previous Pokemon games it was required that you catch all Pokemon in order to complete the the Shinou Dex, in Pokemon Diamond / Pokemon Pearl it is only required that you 'see' all of the Pokemon, reportedly 151 in total. In some cases, you may be shown the card of a Pokemon, this counts as actually seeing the Pokemon as well. You can also transfer Pokemon from Fire Red, Leaf Green, Sapphire and Emerald, and connect via Nintendo's WiFi feature.
