Cheat Codes
The following cheats, codes, hints, and level passwords are available for Kid Icarus on the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console release of the game.
Continue the Game
Press B, A, B on Controller 1 after a Game Over, but before title screen appears to continue the game.
Lower Prices in Shop
Inside the shop, press A + B simulataneously on Controller #2.
Note: This will only work in the shop, not the black market. You must use controller 2, doing this with controller 1 will generally raise the prices. Also, in some shops you need to be a level higher than the world you are in. So if you are trying to lower prices in world 3 you will need to be level 4.
Level Passwords
To enter a password you will need to play the game, and die. Then hit the Home button and bring up the software reset screen and reset the game. When the start screen appears use the minus button to select continue, and press the plus button to activate it, then enter any of the following passwords.
Note: Old passwords for the NES version of Kid Icarus do not work, but these passwords from the Wii Virtual Console release do work. Also, these passwords contain zeroes [ 0 ] and captial letter o's [ O ]. Also, the characters at the beginning of the codes are a capital i [ I ], not a lower case L (there are no L's in any of these codes. So double check your code entry if you get a failure on any of these codes.

Use the Right Controller
As Kid Icarus is a platformer video game, it is recommended that you use either the Wii Classic Controller or a Gamecube controller to play the game.
