Cheat Codes
The following cheats and codes are available for Left 4 Dead on the personal computer (PC).
You must first activate the cheat console from within the game's menu to use cheats. To activate the console from the Main Menu select Options, then select Keyboard/Mouse, and enable Allow Developer Console. Now, during gameplay press the tilde key ( ~ ) to bring up the console. Type 'sv_cheats 1' and press enter to enable the use of cheat codes.
Now you can use the console to enter any of the following cheat codes.
Removes All Bots
Cheat code: Ent_Remove
Unlimited Ammunition
Cheat code: sv_infinite_ammo 1
Get Pistol
Cheat code: give pistol
Invincibility
Cheat code: god
Toggles No Clipping Mode
Cheat code: noclip
Full Ammunition
Cheat code: give ammo
Gives you the SMG
Cheat code: z_spawn weapon_SMG
Vocalizes/makes the player say anything like vocalize playereatpills
Cheat code: Vocalize
spawns a zombie horde
Cheat code: z_spawn mob
spawns a special infected (infected names: hunter, boomer ,smoker, witch, tank)
Cheat code: z_spawn <bossname>
gives hunting rifle
Cheat code: give hunting_rifle
Spawns tank at location of cross-hair
Cheat code: z_spawn tank
Spawns smoker at location of crosshair
Cheat code: z_spawn smoker
Spawns hunter at location of cross-hair
Cheat code: z_spawn hunter
Spawns boomer at location of crosshair
Cheat code: z_spawn boomer
gives full health
Cheat code: give health
Gives auto shotgun
Cheat code: give autoshotgun
Gives pain pills

Play in first person (default); this cheat is only necessary if thirdperson mode is enabled
Cheat code: firstperson
Gives you an Mk 47 (machine gun)
Cheat code: give rifle
Sets the camera to be in third person mode
Cheat code: thirdperson
Sets the camera to be fixed in place while in either third person or third person shoulder mode. Enter once to turn on and enter again to turn off
Cheat code: thirdperson_mayamode
Change Zombie Health
Cheat code: z_health
Sets the maximum amount of regular zombies
Cheat code: z_common_limit
Enables/Disables never ending panics
Cheat code: director_panic_forever 0/1
Forces a panic event
Cheat code: director_force_panic
Change Zombie Speed

Spawns 1 Zombie
Cheat code: z_spawn zombie

Sets the number of seconds until the player loses control of the Tank from not attacking survivors
Cheat code: z_frustration_lifetime <#>
Sets whether or not bots (and only bots) are allowed to do firendly fire damage
Cheat code: sb_friendlyfire <1/0>
Sets the camera to over-the-shoulder third person mode
Cheat code: thirdpersonshoulder
(Default 750) Sets the maximum range of the smoker's tongue attack
Cheat code: tongue_range <#>
Shuts off all wanderers, mobs, specials, and bosses
Cheat code: director_stop
No mob rushes
Cheat code: director_no_mobs <1/0>
Sets the maximum health of the Tank
Cheat code: z_tank_health <#>
True/False setting that allows the witch to change targets instead or focus on the one survivor that alerted her first
Cheat code: z_witch_allow_change_victim <1/0>
Amount of time before a burning Witch dies from fire (does not affect damage caused by fire)
Cheat code: z_witch_burn_time
Sets the amount of damage a Witch's attack does
Cheat code: z_witch_damage <#>
Disables/enables controllable Boss Infected on any map
Cheat code: director_no_human_zombies 0/1
You can unlock achievements while using cheats (after entering sv_cheats 1, enter retry so that it will restart the game with the cheats on)
Cheat code: retry
Gives Ammo To Your Primary Weapon
Cheat code: impulse 101
just like god but you receive damage(sometimes if you are the only survivor left you can't receive damage from infected)
Cheat code: buddha 1
amount of damage you want to do to survivors
Cheat code: z_pounce_damage X
x= desired entity to give to your bot teammates (the console should give you a list)
Cheat code: sb_give XXXX
x= amount of speed that you want for the smoker's tongue to fly
Cheat code: tongue_fly_speed X
x= desired amount of damage to pounce through doors
Cheat code: z_pounce_door_damage X
makes your bot teammates shoot nonstop
Cheat code: sb_openfire or open_fire (console will tell)
