Mass Effect Cheats
PC owners of the video game Mass Effect are in luck, since there are cheats for this version of the game (the Xbox 360 Mass Effect only has unlockables and achievements). There is one small drawback to this however, since in order to use the cheats you need to manually edit one of the game's files.
Editing game files really isn't that intimidating, the main thing to keep in mind (and not forget) is to make a backup of any file you plan on modifying, before you make any changes to it.

Enabling Mass Effect Cheats
As stated above, in order for Mass Effect cheats to work you'll need to edit a game file, specifically a file called BIOInput. This file is located in the folder where the game is installed - generally in a folder sub-set ending in BioWare \ Mass Effect. You could also just do a search for BIOInput, then open the containing folder.
Once you're here (in the Mass Effect folder) head on into the Config folder, where you will find the BIOInput file. Don't forget to make a backup file. Open this as a text file, to do so simply right click it and select open with, then select notepad, or another simple text editor.
Now, search for the line that says the following:
Engine.Console
Now add a new line directly after that line that reads:
ConsoleKey=Tilde
Now save your file and boot up Mass Effect and the following cheat codes will work after pressing the tilde key in-game to bring up the cheat console.
Mass Effect Cheat Codes for the PC
Here is a list of cheat codes that will work on the PC version of Mass Effect, as well as what they will do, have fun. As a reminder, the tilde key looks like this ~ and is usually located above the Tab key on most keyboards.
Cheat code: fly
Use this code to gain the ability to fly, although I must warn you, the controls are not that great, so it is not as useful as you might think.
Cheat code: giveall
Using the giveall code will give you all of the game's gear, with the exception of armor. Fear not, the next code gives you the armor.
Cheat code: giveallarmor
This code will give you all of the game's armor (I feel like I said that already).
Cheat code: giveallbioamps
Use this code to get all of the game’s bio amps.
Cheat code: giveallomnitools
Use this code to get all of the game’s omni tools.
Cheat code: givetalentpoints #
Receive talent points where # equals the amount you want to receive.
Cheat code: givexp #
Receive experience points where # equals the amount you want to receive.
Cheat code: ghost
Using this code will allow you to walk directly through hard things, such as walls... kinda ghoulish if you ask me.
Cheat code: setparagon #
Receive Paragon points where # is the amount you'd like to receive.
Cheat code: setrenegade #
Receive Renegade points where # is the amount you'd like to receive.
Cheat code: walk
Use this command to go back to normal, you know, turn off flying.
