Cheats, Codes, and Secrets
The following cheats, codes, and secrets are available for Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution on the Sony PlayStation 2 video game console.
Alternate Costumes
Hold [[s]] at the Character Selection screen. Press [[u]] to select that character while holding [[s]] to wear the alternate costume.
Alternate Main Menu Background
Enter the Game Option menu, and press [[R]] to cycle forward or [[L]] to cycle backward through the list of backgrounds for the main menu.
Classic Victory Poses
Use a created fighter to reach the Second Kyu level. Hold Punch + Kick + Guard during the replay to do a classic victory pose from Virtua Fighter 1.
Dural's Stage in Versus Mode
Use a created fighter to reach the Emperor or High King rank and unlock the Hangar stage in Versus mode.
Fight as Dural
Defeat Dural in Kumite mode to unlock her in Versus mode.
Training Stage 1 in Versus Mode
Use a created fighter to reach the First Dan rank and unlock the first training stage in Versus mode.
Training Stage 2 in Versus Mode
Use a created fighter to reach the Fifth Dan rank and unlock the second training stage in Versus mode.
Training Stage 3 in Versus Mode
Use a created fighter to reach the Champion rank and unlock the third training stage in Versus mode.
Training Trophy
Complete the trial events in Training mode with a created fighter. A small trophy icon is displayed over your character's health bar.
Virtua Fighter 1 Fighter Model
Use a character fighter to reach at least the First Dan rank. Select that fighter and hold Punch + Kick until the match begins.
Cool Replay
By pressing and holding Punch+Guard at the end of the round, you will see a cool replay. You will also see some nice camera angles.
New Win Poses 1[EN]5
In Quest mode, purchase from the shop. During a match's replay, press and hold down Punch+Guard buttons, or Punch+Guard with a direction key, depending on the win pose. The number of new win poses differs among the characters.
Old Stages
In Quest mode, reach the sixth amusement center, SEGA AREA UPTOWN, and they will unlock. During the Stage Select screen in Vs. mode, press and hold Start after selecting a stage to play the original Virtua Fighter 4 version of the stage.
Old Win Pose 1
In Quest mode, purchase from the shop. During a match's replay, press and hold down Punch+Kick buttons.
Old Win Pose 2
In Quest mode, purchase from the shop. During a match's replay, press and hold down Kick+Guard buttons.
SEGA Voice
Before the SEGA logo appears in the rolling game demCircle, press and hold Circle to hear the old voice.
VF1 Character Model
In Quest mode, purchase from the shop. During the Character Select Screen, press and hold Punch+Kick buttons after selecting your character. This works in Arcade and Vs. modes only.
