Cheats, Codes, and Secrets
The following cheats, codes, and secrets are available for Virtua Fighter 4 on the Sony PlayStation 2 video game console.
Dural's Stage in Versus Mode
Use a created fighter to reach the Emperor or High King rank to unlock the hangar stage in Versus mode.
Fight as Dural
Defeat Dural in Kumite mode to unlock her in Versus mode.
Quick 1st Dan
With a newly created player file, take your character into versus mode. Beat the 2P Character 100 times to obtain your character's 100 Win item. When you start Kumite mode with your character, his/her first match will be a Ranking Match. Win that match.
Training Stage 1 in Versus Mode
Use a created fighter to reach the First Dan rank to unlock the first training stage in Versus mode.
Training Stage 2 in Versus Mode
Use a created fighter to reach the Fifth Dan rank to unlock the second training stage in Versus mode.
Training Stage 3 in Versus Mode
Use a created fighter to reach the Champion rank to unlock the third training stage in Versus mode.
Training Trophy
Successfully complete the trial events in Training mode with a created fighter. A small trophy icon is displayed over your character's health bar.
Alternate Costumes
Each character has two appearances. Most are just two different sets of clothes. To see the alternate costume, hold Start at the Character Selection screen. Press X to select that character while holding Start to wear that costume.
Alternate Main Menu Background
Enter the Game Option menu, and press R1 to cycle forward or L1 to cycle backward through the list of backgrounds for the main menu.
Classic Victory Poses
Use a created fighter to reach the Second Kyu level. Hold Punch+Kick+Guard during the replay after winning a match to do a classic victory pose from Virtua Fighter 1.
Old Win Pose 2
When a created character has reached sandan (Rank 3), he/she will gain the Old Win Pose 2. To see this, during the match replay, press and hold Punch+Kick buttons.
Virtua Fighter 1 Fighter Model
Use a character fighter to reach at least the First Dan rank. Select that fighter and hold Punch+Kick until the match begins.
