Unlocking the Custom Cars
The custom cars are earned by burnout point in the world tour mode - single player mode. Here is the key and how to unlock each one.
The compact custom is earned after getting 10,000 burnout points, while the Muscle is awarded at 25,000 burnout points, at 50,000 the coupe is unlocked and the sport is unlocked after reaching 100,000 burnout points. The super is unlocked after 200,000 burnout points.
Unlocking the DX Cars
These are great cars and you will need to unlock them in the world tour mode. Instead of burnout points they are awarded by gold medals earned. Here is the key to unlock each one. After you earn 4 gold medals the compact dx is yours, then after earning 10 the muscle is unlocked. To earn the coupe you need 18 gold medals and 25 gold medals will unlock the super dx.
Unlocking the Dominator Cars
In the game the best two classes are the DX cars and the Dominators.
To unlock the cool looking and fast Dominators you need to complete certain face off races in the world tour mode. You can go to your garage and look at the shadowed outline of each one and the event to unlock it will appear below the car. Keep this in mind since the two most important cars in the Dominator series will be explained here the rest just check your garage. To earn the sports one you need to compete and win the gold medal in the Alpine Face Off event. You need to remember this is you and the dominator, head to head, so use the DX in the sports class to beat him. Now the best car and the hardest to master is the Super Dominator, to win this baby you need to win the gold medal in the Dockside Face Off event.
The Special Cars and How to Unlock Them
You will notice a section in your garage marked Specials. To find out what is needed to unlock each car you just go into your garage and click on the shadow of each one. A full detailed description will appear on the screen, you must earn these while playing the world tour mode. Since the descriptions are clearly marked just use this method to know where and what unlocks each. If you play online chances are most rooms will restrict the option to use the special cars. That is why there is not a fully detailed key on each one.
Tips on Signature Takedowns
There are 20 different Signature Takedowns in the game, completing them all will earn you the Oval Racer Special car. You will get sound cues from the DJ as to where the action is on each track during the world tour mode. It is not an easy task so instead of telling every one with out being able to explain how to pull off each one, here is the first few to get you started. You can go into your profile to see what else needs to be completed. The Avalanche signature takedown needs to be done over the edge of the Alpine bridge. Every time you pull off a signature take down the screen will cut to a snapshot and have the words of that signature takedown. On the Rivera track had to the marina and get a takedown. You will get another snapshot screen. If you look closely at the list the names also give you clues gone fishing is at Silver Creek Lake for example.
