Unlockables and Secrets
The following items and game play modes can be unlocked in God of War 2 by attaining certain ranks, collecting certain items, and completing the game on various difficulty levels.
Athena
Complete God of War 2 on Titan mode.
Dark Oddysey
Complete God of War 2 on God mode.
General Kratos
Collect 20 cyclops eyes. In order for them to count you must kill them with a context sensitive move.
God Armor
This armor doubles all stats. To unlock it receive a God ranking in Challenge mode.
God of War Costume
Complete God of War 2 on any difficulty level.
Hercules
Complete God of War 2 on Titan mode.
Hydra Armor
Complete God of War 2 on any difficulty level.
Unlock Challenge of the Titans
To unlock Challenge of the Titans, simply complete God of War 2 on any difficulty level.
Arena of the Fates
In challenge mode, reach the Titan rank to unlock Arena of the fates.
Titan Mode
To unlock Titan mode, simply complete the God of War 2 main game.
Urns of Power
Simply complete the game to unlock Urns of Power.
Bonus Play Option
Once you have successfully completed God of War 2, save your game. Now you can select Bonus Play option when starting a new game. This will allow you to have all of your weapons and magic at the levels you reached during the first game, right from the start.
Hidden Sex Mini Game
Right near the beginning of the game, on the first level where you fight Colossus he will hit you into the house. Do not go under the water yet. Get out and run to the right side where you will see two covers and a flimsy looking wall. One of them has some orbs in it, the other has a couple of half-naked women chilling out in the water. Enjoy the mini game, if you hit all of the buttons at the right time there will be an explosion of red orbs.
Getting Red Orbs with the Blade of Olympus
Once you have beaten the game you will receive the Blade of Olympus. Once it has been leveled up once you will be able to perform the Divine Sacrifice move (press L1 and Circle together). This move will pull the red orbs right out of the enemies.
The Golden Fleece
You will receive the Golden Fleece from the Cursed Cerberus, once obtained you can use it to block enemy attacks by pressing L1. If you continuously press L1 you will block and return almost all attacks.
Unlock All Movies
Simply completing God of War 2 will unlock all movies in the game, including high resolution movies and all cut-scene movies the game has to offer.
Secret God of War 2 Message and Site
If you're lucky enough to pull off a 999,999 hit combo you'll be given a secret message which contains a URL for a God of War 2 web site. Similar to the first game, where you were given a telephone number, you'll get a secret message upon visiting the site. In the first God of War it was simply a text message, the web site however has some gameplay footage with developer commentary on it. You can also simply access the site at islandofrhodes.org if you don't feel like struggling to get that obsene combo.
