The only way to find Solano is to work with factions to obtain information about his whereabouts. Work with as many people as you can to hunt him down.
Can You Hear Me Now?
If you're trying to call in an air strike and you're being denied, take note of the red diamond! These diamonds corrospond to SAMs and Jammers out in the world that will prevent you from calling in many air strikes until you destroy them.
Auto-pilot
Some air strikes like Artillery and Cruise Missiles do not require a jet pilot. These can come in handy if you have not recruited a pilot yet or you are low on fuel.
Kleptomaniac!
Watch your fuel! Be prepared before you go out to battle and stock up on as much fuel as you can! Large amounts of fuel can be stolen from many factions in the game or acquired in small amounts by destroying vehicles.
My Posse
Make sure you stockpile as much support as you can! You can unlock and purchase support from your faction contacts. Air strike munitions are also available for extraction in the world.
School 'em
Want to improve your skills and make a little money at the same time? All of your recruite will offer you wagers to test your prowess!
I'll Always Be Here for You
If you're ever stuck on what to do next, go back and talk to Fiona at the PMC. She will always point you in the right direction.
Workin' for da Man
Remember, missions that you and Fiona conduct to hunt down Solano won't reward you with any money - you're working for yourself on those!
Carpentry
Use C4 and rockets on walls to create your own doorway through!
Keep It Cool
Every faction will offer you work but much of it will be targeted at another faction. If you want to stay on another faction's good side then choose your battles wisely!
Mood Stabilizers
If you start shooting and killing members of a faction they will attempt to report you to their HQ. A successful report will lower the faction's global mood towards the PMC! Prevent this from happening by shooting the unit who is trying to report!
Here Comes the Artillary
If a faction member successfully reports you committing a hostile act, the faction will send in reinforcements to attack you!
Dude, Where's My Car
It's always a good idea to get inside a vehicle, even if its a junker! All vehicles will give you extra protection against bullets and explosions.
Keep the Peace California
Taking over outposts for factions have many benefits. New contacts, contracts, shops and landing zones become available for the outposts you capture! However, those benefits will not be available to you if you make the faction angry.
Out of My League
Trespassing zones are locations in the world where your relationship with a faction doesn't matter: they will shoot you on site if you are in the area. The only way in is to disguise yourself as one of the faction by using one of their vehicles.
OnStar and Blackberry
The GPS system in the PDA will help you compute the shortest route possible to your destination using Venezuela's extensive road network. When no road is available to your destination, the GPS will navigate you to the closest possible point near along the road network.
Never Run Out
Out of ammo? Use a melee bash on an opposing enemy! The melee bash can be just as effective as shooting your foes with a gun.
Molasses
If you get stuck in a place or situation you can't get out of, call the Medevac from the Pause Menu. You'll be instantly teleported back to a safe place for a bit of cash.
Who Wears the Pants?
If you don't feel like working for a faction to improve their opinion of you, have Fiona bribe them - just be prepared to fork over a good chunk of your available cash!
Fight or Flight
Getting near a faction's high value target will make them angry at you. Be prepared for a fight if you intend to verify that target!
Clear
Before calling in for a chopper, make sure the area is clear of anti-air defenses. These units will shoot down your support.
Warning! Danger Wil Robinson
Don't let enemies trigger alarms! If an alarm is triggered, occupied buildings in the area will wake up. These buildings are often populated with rocket-manned units and the only way to get rid of the threat is to destroy the building.
Burn the House Down
If enemies keep popping up in a nearby building, the only way to get rid of the threat is to destroy that building. Try C4, an air strike or a good 'ol fashioned tank shell!
