The Maw Cheats, Hints, and Tips
Unlockable Gamer Pics
There are two gamer pics that can be unlocked in The Maw. Completing ' Crash Site ' will unlock one, and completing ' Dirtlands ' will unlock the second.
Unlockable Maw Dashboard Theme
In addition to unlockable gamer pics, there is also a dashboard theme that can be unlocked. To unlock The Maw Dashboard theme you must complete the game.
Snuffle Locations
The following Snuffle locations were sent in by Alex R. from New York.
Snuffles are disgusting little things, but they also happen to be Maw's favorite comfort food. Here's where you can find them all:
Crash Site
On the opposite side of the large area containing the three fire plants, there is another grey, giant rock you can use your leash to pull out of the way, revealing a secret path where the snuffle is grazing.
Bulb Valley
When you start the level, turn around immediately and notice the grey, giant rock that can be pulled out of the way to reveal a poor Snuffle trapped in a cage from the crashed Bounty Hunter ship. Once you have gotten Maw to eat the Queen Bulbos and he has changed into the energizing Maw, use Maw's new ability to shock a Meeba worm, drag it back to the caged snuffle and hit the cage with the energized Meeba to disarm the cage.
ChainDown
Once Maw gains the fire ability, go and burn the two fire plants blocking the secret path in the floor level canyon where the Snuffle is awaiting digestion.
Dirtlands
After gaining the Pufftor balloon abilities, enter the grey rock and water section just beyond the mushrooms. There is an air duct blowing air to the left. Take that into another air stream that should blow you onto a small plateau where a Snuffle is trapped in a Bounty Hunter cage. You must use the Maw's slam ability to break the cage in order to eat the Snuffle. Don't fall!
Looferland
Once Frank is riding Maw with the Loofer's laser abilities, shoot the large crashed ship section next to the green path leading to the next level area to destroy it, revealing an impact crater where a Snuffle is trapped in another cage.
Mesas
There is an air duct near the sensor tower. After gaining the Pufftor balloon abilities, you can find a way to jump up onto a ledge above the air duct. Use the Maw's slam ability to get the snuffle out of its cage.
Beetull Smash
After Maw has gained the Beetull abilities, at the 3rd section where you are blocked by another red gate, there is a rock platform stranding in the middle of the open area. Make Beetull Maw charge and ram that platform, launching the Snuffle that was on top of the platform down to the ground and into reach.
Planet Maw
Maw has gotten too large to eat snuffles, so there are none in this stage.
Achievements
The following achievements can be unlocked in The Maw video game on the Xbox 360 console. To unlock an achievement in The Maw simply complete the indicated task.
All Growed Up - 10 points.
Help Maw grow for the first time.
Destroyer of Yums - 10 points.
Find and eat 200 Yums.
Energize - 20 points.
With the Bulbous power, electrify at least 50 objects and/or creatures.
Eyes of the Beloofer - 20 points.
With the Loofer power, laser at least 125 objects and/or creatures.
Ground and Pound - 20 points.
With the Puff-Tor power, smash at least 50 objects and/or creatures.
Hard-Headed - 20 points.
With the Beetull power, ram at least 50 objects and/or creatures.
Little Planet of Horrors - 20 points.
Get 100% Eaten in each level.
Six Meals a Day - 20 points.
Play during Maw's six meal times: Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, Dunch, Dinner, and Midnight Feast.
Tastes Like Snot - 10 points.
Find and eat 30 Gloobers.
That's Just Gross - 10 points.
Find and eat all the Snuffles.
Time for BBQ - 20 points.
With the Gastro power, flame at least 150 objects and/or creatures.
You're totally MAWESOME! - 20 points.
Complete the entire game.
