Two Options same objective:
From this point you need to back track and go through the opening. There is only one way in that is close, the other team should enter from the other side (the team that started the mission on the right side of the map). You will see two yellow boxes light up and a glowing enemy lit in green, this is the Lieutenant located in the center of the Temple that needs to be taken out.
The choice is to stay in teams of two or have the person with the most experience to go off and help kill off a few enemies along the way. It is possible for one member to make it through the thick jungle and take the shortcut carved underneath one of the temples (the tunnel that goes to the right of the main Temple). Keep in constant contact if using this method. This member has a dual duty, which includes eliminating easy threats so the rest of the team can get to the other caches — the second duty is to take out the Lieutenant.
This method needs members that know the map like the back of their hands since both members will be on their own without the use of the drone until the other team takes out the rest of the ammo caches and eliminates the enemies. The advantage of using this method is time and since there is plenty of ammo crates to reload, it is the best, but only for advanced players.
The other option is to stay in teams. One team after reaching the opening will want to head west and the other team heads for the other ammo cache. The tricky part is that due to the dense jungle and ruins, it gives the enemy soldiers plenty of hiding points. You don’t have binoculars but using the 2X scope is actually better. Of course when used with the drone, you can clear out the first few caches with little trouble if you keep in contact with each team and when needed ask for help.
The same rule applies here. The group with the most knowledge of the map should act as the ones to supply back up. The reason is they know how to get back quickly and after helping out, they know the fastest way to the next cache and ultimately the Lieutenant.
Take out the Lieutenant and his Guards
When the time comes to attack the middle temple, the Lieutenant’s hideout, you need to act as a team. There are usually four enemy soldiers and one Marksman who needs to be taken out as well. He will hide at the top and fire down on you. Have a rifleman and a grenadier take out these targets; the one team moves to the left and one to the right.
Be careful, there can be up to seven enemies around the Lieutenant plus he is armed and there is always one bodyguard that stands directly in back of him. Here is a trick that will save time and may even help you kill the Lieutenant from long rang. There is a small opening when viewed in double zoom that leaves a wide open shot at your target. Have another grenadier launch a grenade shell at the temple making the lieutenant move to the left in panic. If you make a perfect head shot, after the kill, you will see a message and hear the sound cue to head to the extraction point.
If you can't make the shot long ranged, don't sweat it, the conditions have to be perfect to pull it off. Try next time. Have both teams flank the Temple and eliminate the Lieutenant
Before moving on make sure all ammo caches are destroyed. Also look for enemies laying flat on their stomachs trying to hide, they will snip you if left undetected.
The Extraction point and the key to a successful pick up:
Fall back into teams of two and at the extraction point to the west, there is a 50 caliber located there for your gunning pleasure. Be sure to approach the extraction point cautiously, as there are sometime enemies located within it. To avoid having enemies waiting for you at the extraction point, be sure to kill off all of the rebels you encounter, and search the entire map.
One member should man the stationary gun and take out enemy threats while waiting for the helicopter to pick the team up. After making sure there is no threat, the member manning the .50 caliber needs to also call out threats they won’t be able to hit due to the turning radius of the .50 caliber. The AI will attack in small groups from the east and the west but always watch for those who will be bold and attack from the north.
You will hear another message that the pilot is nearby. Here is a set up or distraction. You will think the first time playing this mission that this mean all clear. Wrong! Expect two or three more attacks and always be on guard. After the fire fight and proper use of the drone, the helicopter will show up. Once again there may be one or two stray enemies so watch until the ending sequence and you get the mission completed. Again, to minimize the fire-fight here, take out all of the enemies on the map before heading to the extraction point.
