Wik: Fable of Souls Tips
Listed below are several hints and tips for the Xbox Live Arcade game Wik: Fable of Souls. Use them and master the game!
Build Swing Momentum Quickly
Try jumping away from the point you want Wik to swing from before you latch his tongue, you’ll be able to build swing momentum more quickly.
Knock 'em Off!
Looping close to scorpions or other players will knock them off their platform.
Extra Points with Acorns
Spit acorns at other players for extra points and to prevent people from camping in tall trees.
Keep Slotham Busy
In story and challenge mode, keep throwing piles of honey to Slotham, he will stop to eat it and you will have more time to complete the level before he wanders away.
Looping the Easy Way
The easiest way to loop is to jump down from a point much higher than where you want to latch, as Wik builds up speed point the analogue stick in the direction of the object you want to latch to, then press and hold the latch button.
Getting Big Loop Scores
In loopnastics, keep releasing your latch on one dream catcher & quickly grab one next to it to dramatically increase your loop score.
Careful Now
Watch for bags of rocks and large berries, if you spit them they will break into many smaller pieces, which can each take out a bug.
Get All the Coins
On Story Mode coin levels, make sure to get all the coins that are next to each other. The next group on coins won't spawn until all the coins in that group are collected. To that end, try and figure out how a swing will collect all the coins at once. There is an INFINITE amount of coins that will spawn on a coin collection level. It behooves you to try and maximize what you can pick up.
Say Goodbye to Poison Bugs
If you have a poison bug stuck to your tongue, you're not dead until you suck it into your mouth. Try and do a loop, which will cause an explosion and knock it off your tongue. This is hard to do, but you will feel like a frickin' god if you can do it.
Challenge Mode Prepares You for Story Mode
To develop different skills, start playing Story Mode for about 30 levels and then change to Challenge Mode. After playing Challenge Mode for about 20 levels, go back and play Story Mode. You will notice that the skills that Challenge Mode teaches you will help your Story Mode skills greatly.
