- 1. Add crew early, and often. You get up to 501 to assist you in battle, but you really should continue to get more then that because you can then continue to buy special items or Limited Properties. 2. Do missions with loot drops first, then go back and finish other missions on that mission level. Finish each mission 3 times for a huge perk, like, 10 percent additional off on ship building, or faster recharge times. 3. Buy the Special Item on the home page over buying limited edition properties. The special items, over the long haul will save you from having to buy from the armory, and waste money through upkeep. Loot items carry lightweight upkeep costs. Buy them for each crew member you have. 4. Upgrade items only when you have several of them, that is, if you have to choose between items to upgrade. It does far more good to upgrade a powerful item that you have many of, then a weak item you only have one of. You don't have to upgrade everything. Be smart about it.
